We automatically collect certain information when you use the app:
- Usage data - Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns

- Anonymous identifiers - We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to associate your data with your session without requiring personal information

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase and Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. Firebase provides:

Your expense data is associated with your group's unique identifier. Anyone with access to your group link can view and modify that group's data.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase - For data storage, real-time synchronization, and anonymous authentication
- Google Analytics - For understanding how users interact with our service (with IP anonymization enabled)
These services have their own privacy policies that govern their use of your data.
Data Retention
Your expense group data is retained as long as the group exists. Since groups are accessed via unique links and don't require accounts, data persists until:
- You delete the group data manually
- The group becomes inactive for an extended period (we may clean up abandoned groups)
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access - View all data in your expense groups via the app
- Modify - Edit or delete any expenses, people, or group information
- Delete - Remove your entire expense group and its data
Children's Privacy
Simple Split is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
